Aha...take that shakespeare-ians !

For centuries people have been trying to "define" or give meaning to the magical word...
LOVE

But now, scientist has found out that its a chemical re-ation that reacts in the body.

"...John Harlow and Brendan Montague

SCIENTISTS have discovered true love. Brain scans have proved that a small number of couples can respond with as much passion after 20 years as most people exhibit only in the first flush of love.

The findings overturn the conventional view that love and sexual desire peak at the start of a relationship and then decline as the years pass.

A team from Stony Brook University in New York scanned the brains of couples who had been together for 20 years and compared them with those of new lovers. They found that about one in 10 of the mature couples exhibited the same chemical reactions when shown photographs of their loved ones as people commonly do in the early stages of a relationship. .."

oLD sHOoL !

Many of us would have this song as Top 100 greatest song from Malaysian eh ? hehehe.

Beribu bintang dilangit
Kini menghilang
Meraba aku dalam kelam
Rembulan mengambang
Kini makin suram
Pudar ilhamku tanpa arah

Sedetik wajahmu muncul
Dalam diam
Ada kerdipan ada sinar
Itukah bintang atau rembulan
Terima kasih kuucapkan

Izinkan kumencuri bayangan wajahmu
Izinkan ku mencuri khayalan denganmu
Maafkanlah oh...
Andai lagu ini
Mengganggu ruangan hidupmu
Kau senyumlah oh...
Sekadar memori
Kita di arena ini
Kau ilhamku
Kau ilhamku...

Happy 2nd WW weekend people !

Perfect...

Woke up at 6am...
Tossed and turned...couldn't get back to sleep
Kicked off the blanket, my left index finger flicked on the light switch along the way to the kitchen...along the way my right hand scratch my right butt cheek.
Opened my fridge door and arched over to see what was left from last nights feast.
Poured myself a cuppa soya milk, drank it like a guy who was lost in the desert for 5 days and washed up the cup...
Open the lit of my lap top and started going to my usual sites and chatted with my usual kakis
Tummy grew hungry, so went again to the kitchen for a piece of bread with chocolate and peanut butter spread. Felt like fireworks in my stomach after eating...
Watched a couple of series and then realized that I am left with 12 Cedi.
Decided to head to the main street and withdraw some cash. Changed to my black Reebok shirt and started walking...
Tried for the first time to withdraw from Standard Charted and it works (other local banks don't accept my ATM card )
On the way back, got a loaf of bread and a Danish bread. I must say the Danish bread is doped ! I loved it so much !
Changed and then cooked myself a simple lunch. Ate, watched Chuck and lie down for a while.
Had a light dinner and now, surfing online reading on the war in Gaza. Sadden by the news but there is so little I can do to help the suffering people.
Picked up Readers Digest on my bed and started reading it.

Although its not as "fun" and "happening" as my previous Sundays, but this is my perfect Sunday. All the silence and slow paced workings of life gets me all mushy and relaxed

Cheerios ! Have a great 2nd week of 2009

Look No Further

...from Dido's latest album , Safe Trip Home

I might have been a singer
who sailed around the world

a gambler who wins millions
and spent it all on girls

I might have been a poet
who walked upon the moon

a scientist who would tell the world
I discovered something new

I might have loved a king
been the one to enter war

a criminal who drinks champagne
and never could be caught

but among your books
among your clothes
among the noise and fuss
I've let it go

I can't stop and catch my breath
and look no further, for happiness
and I will not turn again
cause my heart, has found it's home

everyone I'll never meet
and the friends I wont now make
the adventures that they could have been
and the risks I'll never take

but among your books
among your clothes
among your noise and fuss
I've let it go

I can't stop and catch my breath
and look no further, for happiness
and I will not turn again
cause my heart, has found it's home

I guess this song is a lot about finding someone/something in your life and how much it means to you and how it completes your life . Beautiful song. Slow, mellow and yet still so soothing... Would love to play this song in the car, alone in along lonely street, with the slight drizzle outside the window and the sight of the sun slowly disseminating in the horizon...

Ken Anu Yekholim

...it means "Yes, we can !" in Hebrew !

In 11 years, we are going to reach 2020...
I am going to be 3X when that reaches...

Heck, what am i saying...Hahaha.

Anyway, its a new year already so I think its time for me to start sorting out my resolutions again for the year. I felt kinda happy for last years resolutions and its results. Some came through hard work, while others came in as blessings. But for all, i am truly grateful for it.

Although I have only been traveling and working aboard for the past 4months, it has been a great experience for me. I might not be working at the best places in the world ( ex: New York ) , but it has given me an insight of the world of how these people lived, their culture, their food, their music, their lifestyle, and so much more.

Along the way also i meet a lot of interesting people. I use to be shy to talk to people. But now, if you are sitting next to me on the plane I will most likely another single serving friend you will have ! But be it on a plane, on a ship or on a bus ride or even a tour, i try not to shy away and talk to everyone. One interesting person I have met in this life of mine is Mrs. Ohara, Katie Ohara. Shes from the town of California, US of A. We met on a tour in Cape town and she is the inspiration of my new yearS resolution. The 'S' is because its going to take time for me to achieve it.

Mrs. Ohara is now a nanny, taking care of her grandchildren. She has 3 sons and has always wanted a daughter. But too bad, she didn't. So now with 2 grandchildren with 1 being a girl, she couldn't be much happier ! You know if you are a mother, you would want to play dress up with your daughter and all. So for Mrs. Ohara, she is quite a frequent traveler. She has traveled to practically anywhere you can name of (including Malaysia !) and she has plans for many, many more. She says she plans to visit at least 100 countries or more before she lay still 6 feet under (i hope she dont anytime soon).

And that is my resolution/goal for my life. I want to be a centurion also ! To visit at least 100 countries hopefully before my 40th birthday. There are 195 countries in this world and I think I have only visited like 10 of them ! A long way to go, but it would be a goal i have set to achieve for myself.

My other resolution would also be

2. Lose more weight.
3. Pick up a language ( French, Portuguese and Spanish is at the top of my list )
4. Attempt to setup/help out a charity organization at whatever place I am.
5. Contribute to the WFP http://www.wfp.org/english/
6. Try to remember all of my friends birthday
7. *has been removed as I don't think its important anymore
8. Meet new people

Its a long list, but there is 365 days for me to achieve it. Opps, 364 i mean...

Cheerios

My inspiration...
